TV Show directory - Kombat Opera

Popular telly programmes such as The Apprentice, Question Time, The South Bank Show, Panorama and Wife Swap have been given the full operatic interpretation.

Kombat Opera was written and created by Richard Thomas, the creator of the award-winning hit musical Jerry Springer: The Opera, with collaborators including Stewart Lee, Dave Gorman and Terry Jones.
Each episode features a central, spoken comedy performance. The Fast Show's John Thomson plays a recognisably beardy entrepreneur in The Applicants; Dead Ringers' Jon Culshaw fields hecklers in Question Time Out; comedy god Kevin Eldon dons a wig for The South Bragg Show; and The Now Show's Hugh Dennis presents a Manorama Special.

All of the other parts are sung by an ensemble cast from the world of opera and West End theatre, backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra and the acclaimed BBC Singer
