Love Island is a British dating television series and a revival of the celebrity series of the same name, which aired on ITV in 2005 and 2006. The series premiered on ITV2 in summer 2015 and has since aired seven seasons. Love Island has been narrated by Iain Stirling since 2015 and was hosted by Caroline Flack until 2019, when Laura Whitmore took over the role.

The series involves a group of contestants, referred to as Islanders, living in isolation from the outside world in a villa in - five seasons have taken place in Mallorca and one in Cape Town - constantly under video surveillance.[ To survive in the villa the Islanders must be coupled up with another Islander, whether it be for love, friendship or money, as the overall winning couple receives £50,000.

Love Island has gained significant viewership throughout its run, which has culminated in several international series being spun off, including Love Island Australia, Love Island Germany, Love Island Sweden, Love Island USA, Love Island Poland and Love Island Spain.
