Dartington Arts is a year-round public programme of music, dance, contemporary performance, theatre and film that takes place on the Dartington Hall estate. Now running for over 30 years, Dartington Arts showcases the very best in regional, national and international artistic talent across a diverse range of genres and disciplines.
Visiting artists include Derevo, The Waterboys, Goat Island, Britten Sinfonia, DV8, Tinariwen, Quicksilver Theatre, Schubert Ensemble, Kazuko Hohki, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Gavin Bryars, Theatre Alibi, The Lindsays, Miranda July, Joji Hirota, Nigel Charnock, The Brodsky Quartet, and many more.
Dartington Arts always tries to ensure accessibility for visitors with visual, hearing and mobility impairments. The main venues are the Great Hall, The Barn and Studios 1, 3 and 21.
About The Barn Cinema
The Barn Cinema is an independent cinema situated in a renovated 14th century barn within the grounds of the beautiful Dartington Hall estate, near Totnes. The Barn runs a wide-ranging film programme , including independent arthouse, world and mainstream cinema, seven days a week as well as a children’s matinee programme on Saturday afternoons.
