    The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom
    and one of the world's greatest libraries. Our magnificent headquarters at St Pancras, London NW1, is a vibrant public space open seven days a week.

    Our new major exhibition, Sacred, is now open. Admission is free, by timed ticket. You can now book online at no charge.

    Tim Campbell gives a video introduction to the Library and what it offers to visitors and researchers.

    Everyone is welcome at our exhibition galleries, bookshop, restaurant and café. There is also a lively events programme. The building contains a large number of works of art by famous artists such as Antony Gormley, Bill Woodrow and Eduardo Paolozzi.
