The elegant Assembly Rooms on George Street, in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town has been the focus of the Fringe for over 26 years and has played host to some of the world’s biggest shows and performances. Within the Assembly Rooms there is the Music Hall, Ballroom, Edinburgh Suite, Supper Room and Wildman Room. With 2 public bars and a private members’ bar this is the hub of Assembly.
Assembly runs the most successful and prestigious venues at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Established over 26 years ago, Assembly is world renowned for presenting a varied programme of award-winning international comedy, theatre, music, art and dance. We have ten theatre spaces in four of the most beautiful, prestigious and historic buildings in Edinburgh.
Assembly hosts the biggest names, has the most ticket sales, attracts the largest audiences and provides the best opportunities for brand exposure locally, nationally and internationally.
Over £3 million of tickets were sold in 2006 for more than 100 productions with 1700 live performances attracting audiences of excess of 300,000 people.
Assembly's programme of events runs from 10am to 3.30am with exhibitions, cafés, five four public bars, as well as the famous Club Bar where critics, performers and guests alike can party and relax into the small hours of the morning.
