Preston Arts and Media Centre

  • About
Our home at the Arts & Media Centre on Fox Street, Preston, a recently converted Georgian school house (the old St Wilfred's school) in the centre of Preston, is where a significant proportion of our activities are based, and also available to other community groups and businesses for meetings, rehearsals and workshops. It is a fully accessible and adapted building which can meet the needs of the communities of Lancashire, providing an excellent resource in the heart of Preston, at the heart of Lancashire and at the heart of the North West.

We have a large hall on the first floor segmented by a folding partition to make two large workshop areas. Each accommodates workshops for up to 40 or meetings up to 100 people. Once opened up it can hold up to 300 people. We have a wet arts space with a darkroom; four sound studios; a large office area; a volunteer area and meeting rooms.

Project activity will also take place at community venues across the county, appropriate to the groups we work with.
