Albert Hall

  • About
The Albert Hall is a Grade II listed Wesleyan chapel designed in eclectic style with Baroque and Gothic elements for the Wesleyan Mission by W. J. Morley in 1910.

Until 2011, the ground floor of the building was used as a bar and nightclub but the first floor chapel has been closed and hidden since 1969. This is where the real grandeur can be found; the main hall that seats up to 2,000 is lined with wooden seating in a horseshoe shape, has arching, stained glass windows and ornate ceiling, a choir vestry and a century old organ.

The whole building is now being renovated by Trof to be resurrected as an unrivalled events venue, restaurant and bar. The chapel will be restored into a stunning music hall and is set to become one of the most atmospheric music and events venues in the UK.

Opening briefly for MIF13, the full project will be unveiled 2014.
