About me
Born in Poland and lives in London, performing artist pursuing her professional career as a contemporary dancer, aerialist, choreographer and artistic director. She collaborated with Circus Corner, Bernie Grant Arts Centre, Tavaziva Dance , BBC, Nyctoloptic dance Theatre and coo-funded AllotropiaMovement.As an artistic director, choreographer and dancer of LCP Dance Theatre she creates the full length multimedia dance performances with focus on violated human rights. Her work has been very successful at Fringe Festivals nationally and internationally. One of her recent productions "Am I" (75min) against human trafficking was nominated at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015 for Amnesty International award for the best performance based on human rights. Through performing arts her work supports human trafficking foundations such as Sophie Hayes Organisation which works with victims of human trafficking.
Joanna’s other work at LCP as an Executive Directer and contemporary dancer involves "Rights(?)" BBC award, "Lust Lost Last" Camden Fringe Festival, “Taking Chances” Brockley Arts Festival, as a choreographer and performer - "Voices 4 Change","Please do not remove it",“Up&down”. She danced with Dance United at “Destino” Sadlers Wells”, choreographed and performed with Jawaf Dance Theatre “Going nowhere”, with AllotropiaMovement “Imaginary...”. Performed at “The Profondis” Frivol Festival in London.
Her artistic ability also carries over into other mediums as she creates sets and films connected to the human rights based dance performance. Joanna starred as a dancer in one of the short dance film productions awarded in 2009 at the International Portobello Film Festival of London.

In London Joanna is associated with Lewisham College and Goldsmith University where she runs the company dance/yoga classes and workshops. She is also a funder of a new yoga dance style that has been taught in Europe/America and Yoga Therapist for well being at Minded Institute.
She has graduated from University of London: Birkbeck College in association with The Place (Contemporary Dance School of London) and Metthew Bourne ‘NewAdventures’ with degree in Dance; Birkbeck College with diploma in dance studies; Lewisham College: BTEC National Award in Performing Arts-Dance; Royal Holloway University of London: Postgraduate Certificate in Physical Theatre for Dancers and Actors lead by Jasmin Vardimon Company.
Additional information:
Currently Joanna is developing the choreography of a new full lengh aerial dance piece 'I Am' based on human trafficking premiered in Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015. She's also creating a new solo performance in order to protest against female abuse.
