About me
Originally from Southern California, I am 5'6" with one blue eye & one green eye. I speak English with an American accent (West coast or Southern) & am fluent in conversational Spanish & speak with a Cuban accent. Trained in acting for 3 years in Los Angeles, I have been in large films such as ‘Fury’ and ’The Monuments Men’ as well as in TV adverts for RBS and BA. I also have Voice Over experience with Disney (ADR) and Microsoft. I am extremely outgoing and am often very animated. I also have 6 years of military experience in the Air Force which has given me important skills for this industry such as focus, team building, punctuality and accountability. After being in a motorbike accident, I lost my left leg at the hip. I may have lost my leg but I did not lose my sense of humour. I normally use crutches or for longer distances I use a wheelchair & am currently improving walking with a prosthe

"Ruben is a very friendly individual and I'm pleased I had the opportunity to work with him. His attitude was professional and made my job easier through his patient and co-operative approach. I hope to work with him again in the near future."
Vanessa Howley - Director, 'All or Nothing'
Casualty simulation - trained to respond to treatments, situations as well as simulated injuries, reacting to voice, movement, touch and sight as well as the environmental effects. To insure that the scenario is played appropriately and realistically, responses are vital to ensure the correct training outcomes are achieved, I have worked very closely with professional medical teams. -
I have been a radio presenter at 106.9fm NLive radio, Northampton since 2017. I do a weekly show every Thursday from 10am to 1pm called 'Undiscovered Northampton' which includes researching current events in the community including the arts, and report on them to my audience. Interview local officials about policy changes as well as talent/cast members of local bands/theatres. I have knowledge of operating and running the Myriad system in studio and live broadcasting.
I have also presented Disability & Equality training/awareness, which included facilitating questions around Accessibility issues, communicating with clients with a variety of disabilities. This also involved having discussions about attitudes and appropriate communications with disabled passengers, as well as explaining the difference between the social model and medical model of disability.
