About me
I am an actor, writer and singer hailing from Coventry and am currently based in London. I trained extensively with Playbox Theatre for young people in Warwickshire, both in contemporary and Shakespeare theatre. I later went on to study Literature and Drama at UEA and went on to train in acting for screen, stage and radio at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. My playing age on Spotlight is 16 upwards and my unique look lends itself to parts which appear innocent but are more complex under the surface. My native accent is a mix of West Midlands and standard English.Acting experience:
I performed in numerous productions from new writing to classical with Playbox Theatre. I also regularly took part in musical theatre cabaret performances. I was also part of their Shakespeare Young Company and would perform Shakespeare weekly.
At university I performed in new writing, Shakespeare, contemporary plays, student films and musicals as well as performing my own work both on stage and screen. I performed in a children's theatre piece at the Edinburgh Fringe in my second year.
I trained in acting for stage, screen and radio at RWCMD, performing roles such as Kate in The Taming of the Shrew, Lucy in 'Albatross' a new play by Isley Lynn at The Gate Theatre in Notting Hill and Sophie in Mark Ravenhill's 'Candide'. Whilst at Royal Welsh, I had the opportunity to write and perform my own play as well as showcase self written monologues on a weekly basis.
Since graduating I have gained credits with The National Theatre, Theatr Clwyd and the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff. During lockdown I have kept active by taking part in workshops led by Olivier award winning director Donnacadh O'Briain, online play readings and had 1-2-1 meetings with some of the country's leading casting directors.
Additional skills:
Portraiture, embroidery, illustration.
Additional information:
I have a musical background, beginning to train in classical singing at the age of 13 before transitioning into more of a musical theatre and rock style. I spent two years performing regularly in a cover band at bars and festivals and have taken on roles in amateur musicals.
