About me
I am interested by almost everything and enthusiastic about whatever I do. Theatre and performance arts surround me and I always look for new ways to present a idea in a performance, and am happy to explore varied techniques and acting styles. I have mostly performed in live theatre, but I also enjoy dancing and more physical performances.I run, box, do yoga and Pilates alone or teaching friends. I am currently working as a Hotel Receptionist ( a great platform for studying people)..
I assimilate as much knowledge and fiction as I can and though the violin and piano are at present being murdered by me, I am endeavouring to teach myself. I explore new things, love to cook and create stories and designs.
I've been called considerate and loyal, though I speak my mind no matter what. I'm passionate and confident, creative and open to new avenues of expression.

Highlights
-
I am currently playing Amy in Moving On TV's version of 'Little Women', a modern series. She is young, flighty, selfish but very caring and fun loving!
I am also taking part in voice workshops at the National Theatre.
While at school I performanced as Mrs Darling in 'Peter Pan', a damaged and therefore dangerous Ann Putnam in 'The Crucible'. I also played a love crazed, vein and impulsive Helena in 'Midsummer Nights Dream', a relatively small production full of slapstick faeries, comedic dramatic irony and multirolling.
As well as this, I have done GCSE drama and gained an A in A level drama. As part of my A level, I performed monologues and a group devised performance of a very twisted '4.48 Psychosis' where I played a sexually curious, flirtatious, mentally broken girl. It was very physical and emotionally multifaceted.
I have taken part in workshops with Frantic Assembly which were physically demanding with an emphasis on creating strong characters with a knack for defending themselves.
For my final A Level performance, We developed a representation of a relationship damaged by abuse but held together by a genuine love. We wove in themes from society's judgemenetal attitudes to Stockholm syndrome. Awarded nearly full marks in my performance, it was without a doubt my most favourite performance. We all had our own characters to explore, which we did in order to bulk out the personas on stage, but we did it without creating characters so complete as to alienate our audience. Our spoken voice was teamed with dance performance (with my partner and I representing passion), a Greek inspired gossipy 'chorus', and symbolic motifs to sew the events together in our complex quilt. Our audience was stunned and thoughtful with the closing of the final scene-a tableau of us paired up and tangled all together, gripping on to who we loved. Emotionally, I learned so much from this performance. I read interviews about bad relationships, studied the body language of young couples and developed a cache of physical and vocal quirks which one would see in a scarred woman who ultimately does love her other half.
I played the White Queen in Alice in Wonderland. She began as a slightly tipsy woman, to then being a child-like princess against the somewhat pushy Red Queen and 'indy-goth' Alice. I created my own costume, with ridiculously high heels, bits of vintage lace and ribbon, an old wedding dress which I ruched and pinned to create a long train and high front skirt. With the assistance of a long white borrowed cosplay wig, I wove in white roses and a small but very sparkly tiara. I stole laughs from the audience with the scatter-brained and emotional little dear, while contributing a very surreal and almost nightmarish Alice in Wonderland.
As for musicals, and 'Jekyll and Hyde' I was a dancing girl and chorus member. I also played Mrs Darbus in High School Musical and most recently the musical for the year 2013/2014 at NSB saw me dancing and singing in Copacabana-from being one of seven saucy 'red devils' in one to being a dancing girl of rival nightclub Havana and a short cameo as Veronica Lake. Working in large chorus groups is always fun, as were the often complex and always physical dance routines!
Stagecoach, Oxford Cherwell Valley College (OCVC) and The Royal and Derngate have offered me skills during years as part of their youth drama groups, and I have worked with people of all ages for many tpes of performance. Among these were characters created to represent individuals much younger than ourselves and building performances spanning childhood to adulthood.
Finally, I spend a great amount of time watching plays-be it on Digital Theatre, streamed to cinemas or live at theatres like the RSC Straford, the Globe, the National; as well as following touring performances of players such as Frantic Assembly and the Handlebards. I am surrounded by performance and constantly learning from it.
