Highlights
-
I have just returned to acting (2017) and am a versatile performer, currently training at Identity School of Acting.
I began as an actor with extensive youth theatre work including summer residencies with Rational Theatre Company and playing Kate in 'Taming of the Shrew'. This led to being cast as Sheila in J.B. Priestley's 'An Inspector Calls' for a professional production that toured southern India. I went on to study Drama at University of Bristol. I then worked for four years as a radio presenter and producer as well as working with many corporate clients as a media trainer for Electric Airwaves.
Subsequently I studied for an MA in Creative Writing at UEA. I am a published novelist (Penguin and Bloomsbury) and a qualified secondary school Drama and English teacher. I have also chaired literary events and devised and performed in a TIE tour 'Guilty' in London secondary schools.
I have experience of drama facilitation, of devising work and compiling education packs for schools work. I am a very experienced writer - I run a mentoring organisation for writers (www.thewritingcoach.co.uk) - and am also available for script development work.
I have worked as an actor for a Channel Four pilot (the return of 'After Dark'). I'm currently studying text, movement and screen-acting at Identity School of Acting.
