About me
For me, the world is my stage and every person in this world, is a role of who I can be. What no-one realises is that Acting is my escape; Escape from realism that occurs around me, it is my way of completely surrendering myself to be someone new, my way of showing the variety of people there are in this world, my way of showing how common habits of people are gone un-noticed until they're pointed out. Human Behaviour and the habits of people fascinate me; in my eyes it can help the depth and understanding of a new character and when performing you can show the different types of humans and their behaviours; simply by exploring habits, emotions and the smallest of things; which can then produce tremendous performances and visual experiences for the audience. From day one, I knew Acting was what I enjoyed and was what I wanted to pursue. No matter what aspect of the theatre I take part in, the thrill of the stage and stepping into new shoes has always been exactly what I want to do.
Additional skills:
I have also worked and volunteered in the industry side of things, this includes film catering for 'Premier Catering' where I worked on the film James Bourne, work experience for 2 weeks on location for the James Bond film Skyfall. I have also done extra work for the film 'The Woman in Gold'. I also studied at Stage Coach and Close up theatre school, personal teaching with the Actress Sandra Dickinson and Mark Osmond, LAMDA exams and workshop days in circus training, Musical Theatre and clown work. By taking my work to the next level I hope to become the actor I desire to be in the future.
Additional information:
I have always enjoyed the creative and art side of things,
During secondary school I took very creative subjects which included; Art, Music, Drama and Textiles; all in which can be included in theatre and the performing arts industry.
When leaving school, these were the four subjects I enjoyed every moment of; especially Music And Drama. I have always had a passion for music which is why I perused into drumming and singing in my free time as they quickly became a passion of mine.
I also stuck with my passion of acting and joined a local stage school which I then had the opportunity to take my passion on stage.
I decided to then study my future career in college which is when I then studied Level 3 Performing Arts. During my two years of studying at college, I learnt about many different practitioners which I feel has helped my knowledge and work improve and grow massively. I have learnt so much regarding voice, movement and improvisation as well as script writing/editing, casting and directing and also the importance of sets, lighting/sound, costumes and makeup. After learning to much about being on and off the stage I created my own piece of theatre which I devised from Martin Crimps 'Attempts of her life' in the style of Katie Mitchell.
Since I have finished college, I have been gaining experience where and when I can in front and behind of the camera, on and off stage and volunteering. I have also ran workshops in Richmond upon Thames College, taught classes, directed Level 2 final pieces, Acting on camera for Film students and held Q&As of 'what to do after college'.
