"David Nguyen is a Toronto-based cinematographer/director of photography. Having worked in the film and television industry for over a decade, David has had the pleasure of working alongside a number of high-profile clients. I consider myself an artistic problem solver, I can quickly identify the core ideas and themes and apply them to the project using all the resources allocated to me. I have worked with every major camera system used today (Arri, Red, Panasonic, Canon, Sony ect...), I have a unique perspective coming up as a camera technician. I come from a place of being honest and true to the project, while respecting and understanding all the departmental needs of a production.

I have a very naturalistic style, that stays true to the core ideas of the story, never afraid to change things up and be bold when the story calls for it, never letting ego get in the way. I have been working long enough to understand ego only gets in the way of truly great work and wastes everyone's time.

I am here to service the story and to figure out what's at its core, and what makes it beautiful. I just have to hit record after that.

Additional information:
Experience working on long and short format narrative films, commercials, and music videos. Specializes in all major motion picture camera systems, and efficiently budgeting camera and lighting to get the most production value possible on budget and on time.
