About me
I believe that audio is the gateway between a stage and the audience, and always thrive for clean, balanced and exciting mixes to tell the story and pull an audience into the world in which is being created onstage.I am a calm, approachable and confident person that embraces any new challenges and opportunities that may arise with a positive attitude, to help liaise with designers, directors and other creatives. I am proficient in designing, installing and maintaining larger audio/control networks such as Dante, MADI, Optocore and have deployed these protocols in most of my previous productions to produce reliable networked audio. I have worked as sound designer and/or Sound no.1 on everything from studio shows to larger scale musicals with large orchestras and complex radio microphones, using mostly Yamaha QL/CL/Rivage or Digico SDT consoles. I am proficient in all aspects of sound for theatre, having worked on many shows of varying genres; I understand the complexity and challenges each provides for audio.
I have had extensive health and safety training including the use of tallescopes, noise awareness, pyrotechnics and First Aid, as well as industry training in Yamaha & Digico Desks, Dante Level 3 certifications. Whilst acting as sound no.1 on longer running shows/tours I have learned not only how to operate equipment for shows, but undertake routine maintenance and of equipment to make sure it works consistently and safely, ensuring audiences receive the best sound experience possible for every show.
