About me
I am a choreographer, movement director and workshop facilitator based in the West Midlands / London. I have been dancing for more than 20 years and have trained in jazz, theatre, tap, contemporary and cheerleading.Within my practice, I like to work with words and language, thinking about how text and meaning can be embodied through movement and dance. I am also inspired by geometry, and like to link shapes, formulas and rules into my work to create exciting, thought-provoking pieces.
I am currently on Create Arts' 'Nurturing Talent' programme, which involves training and shadowing in workshop facilitation across several artforms and platforms, and with a diverse range of disadvantaged and vulnerable participants.
My most recent theatre work includes: Assistant Movement Director on 'Bleak House' (Creation Theatre Company), Assistant Choreographer on 'The Snow Queen' (Creation Theatre Company), Assistant Choreographer on 'Sleepy Hollow' (National Youth Musical Theatre) and as a Choreographer on projects at the Edinburgh Fringe.
I was also an Ambassador and Future Leader for One Dance UK and Dance Consortium (18/19) and was a judge for the East Midlands division of U.Dance 2019 (a national competition for Youth Dance).
