About me
Well I'll talk about myself like the example given here, so here it goes.I have been drawing since I can remember. I am pretty humble about it but I did often have the whole class leaning over my shoulder when I was creating something. I liked to draw everything and then when I got a little bit older, around 12 years old or so I started taking an interest in making video games. I'd say my interest came more from the fact that I would see minor things about existing games I wish I could add to or fix. The reason I create in general is to fill an absence of what I can't find. I am 30 now and to this day I still work on video games as a hobby and I love to see how programming logic and art blend together. It's a lot of work and really rewarding. I almost went to school for it but felt I wanted to get to know myself a little more before getting into anything I wasn't so sure of. So oddly enough I spent the next decade paying the bills by working a terrifying job I would never think I would ever, ever do, and that is high rise window cleaning. I had a dreadful fear of heights as a child and there I was hanging from a rope interrupting board meetings. When I was laboring away I would notice film crews coming and going on the street and I really wanted to be a part of what they were doing so I set out trying to network and speak to people about how I could get into the film industry. I am a hard worker yes, but I would like to be doing something creative. I am also an avid music maker and lover. I know a fair amount about music production, from playing, to recording and a little bit of mixing. I also worked this past summer 2016 as a stage hand for some big concerts to see what that was like.
I forgot to mention I have several paintings that have received wide circulation and praise around the internet. I would spend a year on one painting just allowing it to take shape. The projects I work on I like to really get into the whole big picture of it as well as the fine, fine details.
Once, I thought I would co-own a music venue with a friend of mine and that set in motion several months of decorating a bar to look like a haunted house basically. I took a halloween mask, filled it with foam and crafted some kind of arm and body and had this figure bursting out the wall behind the bar. I also made a whole, rotting looking skeleton from scratch using wood, zip ties, insulating foam, toilet paper and plastic. I have a picture of this still in my portfolio now.
I can go on but I will end here. :)
