About me
I am a driven, adaptable, and creative individual. I have a keen eye for visual storytelling and possess strong writing, research, and casting skills, both in development and production. I am confident with conducting engaging interviews, handling sensitive subjects with care, and establishing bonds of trust with those that I work with. I have experience of setting up shoots in the UK and internationally, working with talent and assisting on location. I am also skilled at thinking editorially when sourcing and licensing archive material. In 2020, I was selected as a candidate for the first round of Scottish Documentary Institutes’s New Voices scheme - a six-month mentoring and professional development programme for women and non-binary filmmakers who aspire to become documentary directors and/or producers.
I am passionate about creative filmmaking that tackles social issues and have developed, produced, directed, filmed and edited short docs and promo videos within the arts and music sector. As a filmmaker, I have explored topics on mental health and art as therapy; regeneration and the housing crisis; addiction and offender rehabilitation; and LGBTQ+ experiences. My films have been screened by the BFI Future Film Festival, Bertha DocHouse, and Hunger TV, amongst other screenings and online platforms.
