About me
I am a 23 year old Television Production graduate of 2009. I Previously completed a 2 year National Diploma in Media Moving Image in 2007. Since attaining my Bachelor with Honors, I left England to travel. I moved to Australia for 1 year, working in average jobs as i moved around to support myself. I have also freelanced in photography for local travel and backpacking magazines along the way. I left Australia in 2010 to travel Europe before returning to England. However, I decided my knowledge of the world was not mature enough, and set off to South East Asia. I backpacked around Thailand, Vietnam and then onto Cambodia via the MeKong Delta. A truly breathtaking experience...After Asia my journey continued over to The United States in early 2011. Here I also worked as a freelance photographer, and even managed to find connections with a Producer (met on the underground when lost in Manhattan one day... ) Who I freelanced as PA on a Music Video production in Brooklyn, USA.
I'm an energetic out going person who loves working with others. I'm very hands on and practical, and I like a challenge. I'm keen to learn new things and love meeting new people. I've traveled many places and love nothing more than gaining new experiences, which is why I am always on the look out to for new and exciting work opportunities.
Additional information:
Before I left England I was given the opportunity to Edit a Fashion show in Huddersfield. My name was passed on by a University tutor, who saw potential in my editing skills when creating short promotional video for various clients. I was completely grateful for this, and proved well-chosen when my edit was approved and the final cut sold.
My work experience varies from Print media, Photography and film. Photography has always been a huge part of my life, and whilst been on the road it has given me the opportunity to open up and accelerate my creativeness. I worked for my local newspaper as a photographer assistant and also have experience in studio and on location shoots. My film work experience is that of creating promo video for the NHS and Educational institues, and i also spent a brief time working on BBC's television show 'Flog it!'.
I am familiar with various industry standard equipment such as:
