Reference for Rob Evans
Rob is a 3rd year student here at the University of Gloucestershire on the BA(Hons) TV Production. Over the last 3 years I have had the pleasure of teaching him for several modules. In the 1st Television Documentary Production, 2nd year TV Studio and the 3rd year Work Experience module. These are all very practical courses and he has been a committed, hard-working student throughout.
In his first year he immediately showed great promise behind the camera. Understanding how to put sequences together and how to tell a story through sound and vision. He works hard and has great ideas. Even in the first year he made sure his documentary looked as high end and polished as possible. He enjoys experimenting with kit and going the extra mile. He enjoys cutting to music and getting the most out of the footage.
In the 2nd year Rob was part of the VT team and lead camera in studio. Again, he fulfilled his role as camera person with ease and flair. He has a real passion to work in this area and has enjoyed sharing his extra-curricular projects with the staff. He has also worked on an MA project which required a drone. He loves technology and has a thirst for knowledge.
He managed to secure his X2 weeks Telesgop Work Experience with little help from me and I'm sure he got lots out of his time there.
I would have no hesitation in recommending him for a camera/editor post graduate role and feel he would be an asset to your company.
Best regards
