About me
Born and raised in Brazil, Luana Carvalho grew up in a family influenced by music and dance. Luana was 10 when she was taking ballet and piano lessons. Luana started her career as a professional dancer in Brasília, her hometown, where she performed in musical theatres, various dance events, performances, commercials, renowned dance companies in the city and began to teach jazz classes to children. In 2016, Luana moved to Rio de Janeiro to perform at the Olympics and lived there for 3 years, where she taught dance classes as heels, baby ballet and jazz in renowned schools in the city. Luana also performed on Globo TV, one of the largest TV networks in the country, and on the carnival parade at Sambódromo da Marquês de Sapucaí. In 2019, Luana moved to Toronto to study in the Dance Performance program at Centennial College to improve her knowledge in dance. With a career that spans over the past 20 years in dance, circus, entertainment, performances, musical theatre, TV and cinema, Luana is a dynamic, versatile professional, and hard-working team player. Enthusiastic about knowing, helping, inspiring, and motivating people to achieve their dreams and find their purpose in life through dance, she has leadership qualities and is very adaptable in all environments. Luana Carvalho is a talented, creative and innovative Performer, Instructor & Choreographer in Broadway Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Dancehall, Afro and Commercial Dance as Sexy Heels, Chair Dance and Jazz-Funk.
