innovation for all people.Audio Editor/ReporterAs the Audio Editor/Reporter, reporting to the
News Director, your role within Rogers will be: writing, editing, and
producing the most up to date content for newscasts and news reports for
680 NEWS. This would include recording and editing live audio and
preparing it for air as quickly as possible. As a member of the 680 NEWS
team, you would cover shifts spanning the entire day. Our goal is to
provide immediate, accurate and credible information for our listeners.
The successful candidate will share our passion to be first, fast and
factual.Responsibilities:•            Edit, write and produce the most up to date content for newscasts and news reports•            Edit and assist reporters calling in live from the scene of events•            Knowledge of technical requirements for quickly editing and producing audio content•            Generate creative content and story ideasMinimum Qualifications•            Two years of broadcasting experience•            Extensive knowledge of news, including local Toronto news•            Excellent editing, writing and production skills•            Strong skills as an interviewer•            Demonstrated attributes as a team playerPreferred Qualifications•            Post-secondary degree•            Experience or education as a news anchor and/or reporter
