    Road.   About the Role We have a full-time
    position available in our Darwin Regional News team as Camera Operator /
    Editor. This role performs the functions necessary for the gathering,
    production and archiving of news material for Nine News.  It requires a
    high level of attention to detail, industry knowledge and a thorough
    understanding of contemporary news-gathering camera operating technique.   Key responsibilities include: Provide the most newsworthy coverage of scheduled and unscheduled news events while working towards deadlinesPossess a thorough knowledge of field camera and edit procedures, terminology and associated equipmentDemonstrate proficiency in operating field camera and edit equipmentWork under general guidelines and ongoing instructions from the bureau Chief of Staff.Shift, lift, erect and dismantle camera equipment with a maximum individual lifting load not exceeding 20kgsAdhere to standard operating procedures and conduct self in accordance with the Nine Network Australia Employee code of conductPerform the duties of lower classifications where necessaryMinimise equipment downtime through proactive and timely fault reportingAssist in the implementation of workflows that maximise throughputSupport initiatives based on continuous improvementOther duties as reasonably required   Essential skills and experience: Television news gathering experience – audio and visualHigh level of attention to detailAbility to function effectively in a team environmentExcellent understanding of the news room and how the news is put to air each dayWell-developed problem solving skills   If
