About me
A graduate of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, I got my degree in Directing and Management from the Johnny Carson School of Theatre & Film. I moved to Chicago shortly after graduation, and in the spring of 2014 I co-founded a small company called Death & Pretzels, since then we have expanded our team and moved into our own black box studio space in the Ravenswood neighborhood, running it as a Co-op with two other small companies. My credits with D&P include directing and producing The Dybbuk, Gruoch, or Lady Macbeth (world premiere), Anatomy of Gray, Women (Chicago premiere), very still & hard to see (Chicago premiere), Musical Therapy (World premiere), Helmut's Big Day (United States premiere), The Basement Company (Chicago premiere) and The Book of Maggie (Chicago premiere). Other Chicago credits include The Graduate for the Beverly Theater Guild, Sex AKA Wieners and Boobs for Team StaKid's Summer Season 2014 and another collaborated piece in 2016, and a short play for Otherworld Theatre's Paragon Festival. I have also directed staged readings of Halfway by Molly Campbell and A Short History of the Mob in America by Joe Weintraub with Three Cat Productions. I have assisted Matt Hawkins twice, once for the Chicago premiere of Going to a Place Where you Already Are at Redtwist Theatre, and on the 2018 remount of Hatfield & McCoy for the House Theatre of Chicago. This summer, I'll be directing Footloose for the Summer Place Theatre of Naperville.Industry awards:
