About me
I'm a hard-working, professional actor, singer and dancer, who has studied Drama and Performing Arts for a long period of time alongside Photography and have now finished my A-Level, Secondary Eduction studies. I have been lucky enough to explore and develop my skills as a performer, researching different plays/scripts as well as performance styles and Theatre Practitioners, all from studying as a College student. I've learnt that as a Performer, I love to take on a great script and interpret the character based on the directors view, but also use my previous life experience to create my own twist on a character. I also thrive for the adrenaline rush of performing in front of audiences or bringing a finished product to life. I am hoping to attend Drama School after gaining some experience within the Performing Industry. The great thing about me as a Performer is that I have experience as a Triple Threat, who is able to not only act, but sing and dance - specifically in Street Dance.License & Passport

Highlights
-
In an honest world, when joining Jackie Palmer to study Acting, Voice and Speech training for both Stage and Screen, Street Dance was just something I attended as it was at the convenient time of straight after my Acting class and I hoped it would show more experience within the performance industry. However, after a quick bond formed by myself and my dance teacher, Dennis Victory, dance became another love of mine which I enjoyed to share with my class mates on a weekly basis.
The freedom provided by dance, is something I thoroughly enjoy, using movement rather speech to express emotions, passion and getting across a strong message. Having first-hand experience at taking away the art form of vocals and using a state of body control, fitness, co-ordination, passion, concentration and determination has showed me and helped me understand that it’s not all about the way you deliver speech that can draw in an audience’s attention and get across a sense of emotion, but all the previous can do the same without an utter of a word. This is why I have put in a lot of effort to achieve highest levels of dance training, which Dennis Victory has happily provided me with. -
I have just graduated a Sixth-Form College with A-Levels in Performing Arts as well as Drama and Theatre Studies. Alongside my studies at Sixth-Form, I have also had the pleasure of studying in classes of Acting and Voice/Speech in both Screen and Stage with Gerard Logan at Jackie Palmer Performing Arts/Stage School. The phenomenal teachings and the hard work from both myself and my teachers have allowed me to develop my performance styles and widen my experience/knowledge in the performance industry to extreme levels.
Combined with the Acting, Voice and Speech training received by Gerard Logan, I also had the opportunity of taking classes in Street Dance and Movement with Dennis Victory – Also taken at Jackie Palmer. Outside of Jackie Palmer, I have had the pleasure of working with a singing teacher, Toby Stafford-Allen, who has helped train and perfect my voice. My dancing and singing training can be viewed in more detail under their specified sections.
Along with so many other aspects of my personality, positivity and willingness to learn and try new things play a key factor that helps to build and define me as an individual. I hope in the near future that all the different facets that make up me, will help me to achieve a lifestyle and direction that I want to eventually achieve in the Performance industry. My personality has hugely helped me in meeting new people – making the effort to get to know people, who are willing to make the effort to get to know me.
Studying in two different establishments has allowed me to dive into different types of drama and acting, as well as learning, reviewing and performing plays/scripts such as “Road” by Jim Cartwright, “The Trial” by Steven Berkoff, “The Visit” by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, “A Winter’s Tale”, “Hamlet” and “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, “Grease” by Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey and “Everybody Else” by Karen Jeynes. This has allowed me to experience many different characters, moving a written script into a life-like formation, creating a character of my own within a play written by somebody else. -
As my love for performance grew, I felt it was time to make a dramatic change in my knowledge and training in the industry, from January 2011, I decided to widen my performance horizon and luckily knew singing teacher Toby Stafford-Allen. Who after hearing me sing a duet with a friend for a school project and seeing potential in my voice, was happy to teach and work alongside me to train and perfect my vocal skills. Toby has helped me train both my Musical Theatre and Classical sides of my singing voice, intertwined with this was the training on differentiating my head voice from my chest voice. To this day, playing the Teen Angel in a stage production of “Grease” has been the biggest live singing opportunity for me, as this character sings the song ‘Beauty School Dropout’ as a solo.
Starting off with low confidence in singing, using other people as a barrier to draw attention away from myself when singing, I now love the freedom and individuality singing to a live audience as well as in a recording studio can give you. I have learnt to accept the power and skill in my singing voice, now jumping at an opportunity to sing or record music for the entertainment of not only an audience, but myself.
Singing has now become one of my strongest performance aspects, loving that I have the knowledge to understand that singing is such a beautiful art form and it takes such skill, passion and determination to train not only your mental state of mind, but also the physical side of singing, such as training up your vocal cords and diaphragm – Which I now do on a regular basis, putting in the highest of effort to keep my vocal chords and diaphragm refreshed, working my vocal muscles with regular vocal exercises as well as recording and performing live music.
