About me
Erin first started treading the boards at the age of five in a school production of Peter Pan in her hometown of Malibu, California. She then enjoyed a brief stint as a child actor, making her professional debut in a Treasure Trolls commercial. She has an honours degree from UCLA's (University of California, Los Angeles) School of Theatre, Film and Television. While at UCLA, Erin spent a year studying abroad at the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College Dublin. After graduation, Erin crossed the pond once again to do a two-year post graduate acting course at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) and now London is home.Erin has performed in over fifty productions in London, Dublin, New York and Los Angeles. She brings passion, creativity and playfulness to every project she works on; and is known for the truth, commitment and sparkle she brings to every role. Erin believes theatre & film, at their heart, are about storytelling: good stories, important stories. Erin is particularly interested in sketch comedy, new writing and devising; engaging audiences in innovative ways & challenging them, while also giving them a cracking good time.
2012 has been a busy year for Erin. Most recently, she performed in Bush Bazaar at the Bush Theatre with Theatre Delicatessen, playing the role of a palm reader and a pirate. Alongside performing in The Odyssey at The Albany and a play on the Occupy Movement at The Arcola, Erin has now twice performed in acclaimed show Newsrevue: the world's longest running sketch comedy show. She is the first American to be cast in 11 years due to her strong UK dialects. At the end of last year Erin featured in mockumentary The Potential Wives of Prince Harry, one of the six finalists for the Digital Comedy Lab.
Erin's favourite roles include Amalthea King in Short Story Long and Darlene in A Balm in Gilead by Lanford Wilson. She's worked on several projects with acclaimed physical theatre ensemble, Tangled Feet and exciting theatre-makers Teatro Vivo. She acts regularly at the Met Film School and is a company member of Ladder to the Moon, acting in a pioneer project remaking classic films in care homes. Erin has also produced two plays with her theatre company Three Bird Theatre.
Erin has extensive dance training having studied ballet for eleven years along with African, swing, contemporary, jazz and capoiera. In her spare time, Erin is an ardent traveller and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro; she's an avid skier, a dedicated foodie in search of London's best restaurants and is learning to play the ukulele.
