About me

I am in late middle age, had my first modelling job age 22 and then "retired" to follow a full time career in business in Sales and Marketing including preparing and delivering Sales Training seminars. Since my second "retirement" I have found a new part time career as a model and support artist and voice over actor as well as working partime at a local Academy as an Exams Supervisor. i put the first paragraph in some years ago since then i have been able to hone my natural skills as an actor and especially as a photo model where I have been assured by more than one that I am lucky the camera likes me. I only do the work I want to do and try to avoid working as an extra on major projects
Acting experience:
I made a Student Film in 2012 taking the part of an elderly man being ill treated in a Nursing home, and am waiting confirmation for the start date on a second film in January. In September2013 I worked as a background artist for a documentary The Jesus Mysteries for the National Geographic channel. In December 2013 I completed the narration for a short film The Fountain of Fair Fortune. In Feb 2014 I worked as a background artist on a major film production Night at the Museum 3 for Twentieth Century Fox. In April 2014 I did my second voice over narration for the short film "Summer Season" looking at the demise of the British Seaside Variety shows. in 2014 i had roles in three short films all corporate, a training film for Oxford Brookes university and a short film "Audition" as an unseen Casting director. since then I have branched out as an actor which really surprised me as apart from some brief dalliance with drama at school I have not considered it, but in the last year I have been involved in two short films where I have received acting credits, the first The Punisher-The Return of Frank Castle, as a murderous New York priest and just completed "Russell" where I have the name role set in a Retirement Home, enjoyed making both of them and they can be found on my website. further roles were again in a student film The Gift as an elderly man given a special gift which reunites him with his deceased wife and can be seen on my website www.herbnewark.weebly.com

Modelling experience:
I have been working as a Model for the past four years and have worked for a Furniture Company (Twice) a Holiday Park (Twice) ICM Medical Co, Cedars Retirement Village, A TV Ad for Matalan which can be seen on You Tube under Fashion Booth Fathers Day Makeover. In the past year i seem to have been seen as suitable for Retirement Homes as I have now completed three assignments in the past six months. Most of work in the past fore years has been as a model, and I am given to understand in a satisfactory manner.
This my preferred work although I have just done some work in short films and find that very interesting. I am glad I thought to update this section as I have certainly found that is is my preferred area of work and have enjoyed working for the same people over and over so I must be doing some thing right.
Television experience:
My only experience so on TV, have been in Ads or parts of programmes filmed away from the TV studios nothing spectacular I am afraid to say.
Specific skills:
I have a number of accents at my command for voice over work they range through North American, Standard English, Norfolk, Scots, Northern England, Oxfordshire/Wiltshire and UK Midlands.
Interesting past experiences:
Several but not sure some are suitable for public disclosure. In reality my life has been like most peoples, work, marriage, bringing up and maintaining a family,etc.
My interests:
My interests are reading, gardening, football, cricket although i play neither any more and Cinema Architecture particularly cinemas still in situ but no longer being used for their original purpose.
