About me
Jennifer was born in Canterbury in 1983. She graduated from the University of Kent with an upper 2.1 BA Honours degree in English Literature. She has just completed a BMus at Canterbury ChristChurch University where she was awarded a 1st Class degree. Jennifer also completed the Opera Performance Foundation course at Birkbeck University London, with whom she has performed in several amateur productions including Monteverdi's L'Orfeo (Orfeo), Mozart's The Magic Flute (Third Boy) and Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin (Olga). . Her compositions have also been showcased, including the Sir Peter Maxwell Davies Composers' masterclass held in Canterbury 2008, and a recent composition project is set to be in Canterbury Festival 2009. Her University also recently awarded Jennifer a full scholarship to study for a Master of Music for removedAdditional skills:
Jennifer speaks Italian and is an experienced and skilled performer. Jennifer teaches singing technique and coaches in stage performance and also composes, arranges and conducts classical music
Additional information:
Jennifer is now under the tutelage of the international singing teacher Sheila Barnes, regularly performing in her London and Suffolk based master-classes. Jennifer is now also working with Stephen Wilder, Professor of Vocal Repertoire at The Royal College of Music, London. Every summer she performs in Italy, attending courses in Italian Bel-Canto technique and language. Her Italian engagements have so far included working with Joan Patenaude-Yarnell, Sheila Luxon and Ubaldo Fabbri (Rossini Opera House, Pesaro) for 'La Lingua del Canto' (Teatro Sociale, Novafeltria, Italy 2005/06). Jennifer has also performed with Sebastian Vetucci (University of Music, Vienna), in the famous 'Centro Studi Italiani' Opera Festival, and for the 'Voce E Bel Canto' programme (Urbania, Italy, 2007), for which she worked as British Administrator/Secretary for the course. Jennifer also performed in Perugia (Italy, 2008) for the early music course 'Lingua E Lirica' organised by Sheila Barnes, with the conductor and early music specialist Philip Thorby. This summer she participated in Sheila Barnes' Summer Course with Paul Plummer (International coach), The Beccles Music Festival and on an Italian language and phonetics course in Perugia.
