About me
I consider myself to have a very good sense of humour and can work on my own or fit into a group very well. I like to work hard and will put 100% into everything I do. I have appeared many times on stage for the local drama group and have appeared on TV and in Film as detailed below.Acting experience:
Apart from the Midsomer Murders and 'Tarrant Lets The Kids Loose' mentioned above I have also taken part as an extra in a Woody Allen film, and I have appeared as a construction worker in the film 'The Prey' and as a Peeler in the film 'The Young Victoria'.
Dancing experience:
My only dancing experience comes from a local production of the stage show 'Stepping Out' where I played the only male role and had to learn quite basic tap dancing.
Singing experience:
My singing experience also comes from local stage productions including the role of the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz and the lead role in the play 'Captain Righteous'.
Television experience:
I regularly appear in the TV series Midsomer Murders mainly in the role of a CID officer. I have been a regular on the series since 2006.In March 2012 I appeared in an episode of Downton Abbey. I have also appeared and had a speaking role in the North One Television show 'Tarrant Lets The Kids Loose' and have had a role in a Crunchy Nut advert. I also attended a very interesting and informative workshop run by Steve North from London's Burning entitled 'Acting For Camera'.
Specific skills:
Apart from the Martial arts and fighting skills I still actively take part in and am quite proficient at many sports including tennis, football, running etc. I can also ride a motorbike although I haven't actually ridden one for some time.
Interesting past experiences:
I found it extremely interesting watching Woody Allen work. He had great concentration in what he was doing especially when switching from actor to director and back again. Also being called regularly for Midsomer Murders is a great experience.
My interests:
At this time I am a 2nd degree martial arts black belt and I run a couple of my own clubs as well as continuing to train under my own instructor. I am also Chairman of the local community trust and an active member of our local football club for whom I still play either on pitch or in goal. I enjoy keeping fit.
