About me
Let me introduce myself, my name is Joseph Womersley I am a Northern based actor from Yorkshire. I have spent the last 6 years training and acting within different sectors of the industry. I started my official training at the ALRA endorsed York college where I gained an acting diploma. I then went on to receive my BA Hons degree in acting from The University of Huddersfield. Along my journey, I have been a part of some amazing projects, from the national youth theatre to touring my own show across the north, to walk-on roles on major networks. While preparing for another Northern tour of the play ‘Two’ by Jim Cartwright, Covid 19 hit and sent all my plans down the drain. I have spent lockdown revamping my acting portfolio and creating work from home.Acting experience:
Finding acting at a young age I proceeded to join local drama groups and then attached myself to young theatre-makers and National theatre connections. I then began my formal training with the ALRA endorsed York college and then onto completing my degree at The University of Huddersfield. throughout my time training, I was cast in multiple theatre roles with some renowned directors. I also would work as a supporting artist to gain knowledge on the creation of large scale screen entertainment. I also got involved with multiple student films and began to create some of my own.
Before COVID 19 hit I was touring a show with my own company called 3's a crowd in which we travelled around the north performing the show, which was cut short.
