About me
Kate Boleyn is a mature, enthusiastic English actor. She has recently graduated from University for The Creative Arts Farnham, achieving a BA(Hons) in Acting and Performance and is now workshopping a one-woman performance.Between 2017 and 2019 Kate has performed at The Farnham Maltings, showcasing her talent in Chekov (The Three Sisters) and devising (The Working Family), as well as Verbatim theatre (The Laramie Project) and improvisation (Alf and The Wombles). Furthermore, she has performed Shakespeare (Hamlet and King Lear) at St Andrew's Church, Farnham as a site-specific piece.
Her most recent work includes A Winter’s Tale: A New Play (2022) at The Birmingham Rep and is currently
directing a new writing play at The Old Rep in Birmingham in her directing debut. She has also co-founded a theatre company The Wyrd Sisters.
Kate discovered her love of acting whilst growing up in the West Midlands and began her theatre education in Warwickshire. Before coming to UCA Kate has diligently worked in and around Stratford upon Avon at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, performing Shakespeare to large and varied audiences, and she had close connections with the Royal Shakespeare Company, working on a Royal performance back in 2013.

Additional information:
Kate is interested and has worked in both theatre and film in a professional capacity; mostly working in theatre and with Shakespeare, discovering him at a young age, and finding her desire to be an actor through his work; finding his epic texts befitting of her acting style and is something she is most attended to.
Most recently she has created my own work, both one woman shows: Dear Shakespeare (2017) and Knock Knock. Who’s there? (2020); and has spent time working with film directors Ellie Heydon and Nick Cohen on short films, and with National Theatre director Hannah Joss.
