About me
The bug for drama started very young: I used to lock my Great-Aunt up pretending to be the wicked stepmother from Cinderella. I love playing anything from school girl to old granny! Just as happy to play comedic, mean, strong characters as sweet, kind, gentle ones. But my true love is the former! I enjoy acting for film, theatre and musical theatre. My latest film role was playing an Opera Singer for a short promo film 'Within'. I had lip sync to opera for this depiction of a man's lost mother. I was also the lead in a short film: 'A Friend for Dinner' for which I won Best Young Actress, NYIFA and Best Actress for a Short, Accord Cine Fest.
As a murderer in the short film 'Middle Management', I helped the film to win 'Film of the month' in the IntoFilm competition run by the BFI and be winner of the Nikki Delamotte Award, Kids Film it Festival. It was also an INDIs Nominee.
My latest theatrical role was as Lady Croom in Arcadia for Exeter University. I was also sixth form Drama scholar and played Queen Margaret in Henry VI. For my A level I devised a group piece based on the Salem Witch Trials. I also played Billy Flynn in 'Chicago' and the lead in 'The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui' by Berthold Brecht . I was lucky enough to be asked to guest direct 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' at Headington theatre, and to direct Macbeth at the New Theatre, Oxford for the Shakespeare Schools Festival.
I am currently studying Drama at the University of Exeter and a member of the Illuminations Acapella group (former semi-finalists of the ICCAs) who have just performed a sell-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe.
I've played many different roles in addition to those listed already including:
The Demon Queen – School house pantomime - winner
Knave – Alice in Wonderland - outdoor production
Oxford Playhouse 12/16 sessions with performance of play devised by the students: 'We are now Here, We are Nowhere'
Jiminy Cricket – Pinocchio - School house pantomime (awarded ‘Star performer’)
Tommy Cripps – Masquerade
Trunchball – Matilda (pop up outdoor theatre)
Mr Wally – Pirates of the Curry Bean
