About me

I am an over 55 male background extra and S/A of nearly a dozen major productions my first being Les Miserables, I have worked at London studios in the north, west and east of the city. I've worked in Welsh studios as well as north of England as well as on various locations.
My skills range are many and variable having worked in many and various industries from leaving school at 14 to work for NAAFI until I was 15 and join the RN in the penultimate recruitment of 'Boy Sailors' and to leave in 1979 as an RN submariner.I have experience in building Ind. Steel and foundry work, fabrication and welding, leather tanning, before tickets were required on site construction plant and machinery operating, my last major industry worked in before starting in film and TV work in 2011 was as trackman for both BR. and private contractors and as the first shunter to propel a full size train into the channel tunnel whilst working for Euro-tunnel establishing the ballast less track that runs through both tunnels.
This resume is to indicate my knowledge and experience in old school manufacturing and heavy industry as well to degrees the physicality required and demonstrated in these old industries I have also worked in farming and agricultural employ handling livestock so animal familiarity is not unfamiliar to me and yes to a poor degree I can ride horse.
I play harmonica as well as fiddle the first medium the second limited in degrees enough to pitch a busk on the streets with a well played but limited repatoir of tunes.
Acting I did a small degree both at school and during my time in the services and I have featured extras exeriance in a couple of major film productions as well as a US TV series. Po
I am six foot in height 12.5 stone in weight or 200lb or I think that's 9klg.
I am heavily bearded and will not remove my facial growth totally I will reduce in length within reason but never totally shave it off.
I have tattooed fore arms and upper arms as well as back (writing on only)
I take direction well as have been informed pick up on things pretty damn quickly like to think I hold a reasonably professional outlook and portrayal of anything I attempt.

Rather than list my experiences and skills of use it is better it is better to ask if I can't do something and that is not an arrogance that is a fact of an extremely varied existence of sixty years both in England and many various locations abroad.
