I have been dancing for about 5 years and in that time have been in many shows. I attended college to participate in a Dance course which lasted one year. I sometimes put on an impromptu display during any after show party or even just on a night out whenever Billie Jean is played. The video of this is on youtube under "Billie Jean at DWA Studios Glasgow". Feel free to view. Recently added a new video called "Billie Jean At DWA 2".

While attending drama classes, as part of my college dance curriculum, I had to perform once as a father in a dysfunctional family in which my character did not seem to understand the pain one of his daughters was suffering and the stress of everything else caused him to be very aggressive towards his wife. I found myself having to tap into a darker part of my mind just to keep in character and while it was difficult to act like I was trying to hurt someone, because we were good friends, we did get a good review from the lecturer.
During the same course I also had to perform a 5 minute monologue. This proved to be both more challenging and more rewarding. My character for this was a mentally disturbed man after returning from fighting in a war occasionally beats his wife and children, drinks to excess, seems to despise everything except his own home and has dreams about being a dog. This has to have been the single darkest thing I have ever had to do. I must have done a brilliant job though as not only did everyone applaude but the feedback they gave me was that everyone had shivers at some point during my piece.
More recently I have taken part in filming for two tv series as a Supporting Artist/Extra. This really helped me to see more of what goes on behind the scenes and to get more of an idea of how things are done. I loved my time on these projects.
