About me
I started acting at a young age and was always drawn to the stage and performing. On leaving school I entered the workplace leaving many incomplete aspirations on stage and screen. 'Life' then just overtook me; a mortgage, jobs, promotions, marriage, children all meant that a craving for performance had to be satisfied by watching from the stalls and jealously enjoying others as they exhibited their craft. A change of role in 2015 gave me the chance to belatedly follow my ambition to become a full time actor. I trained part time for a year and continue to work and gain as much experience as possible and to ensure that I am as professional as possible and a lovely guy to work with!Additional skills:
Time served in the Royal Marines make me perfect for uniformed casting in a range of military or quasi military/terrorist/police weapon handling skills as well as small boat handling, parachuting, unarmed combat and survival in arctic and other arduous environments. I also have progressive (fast) and evasive driving experience and sporting skills including rugby, football, skiing and other individual and team sports.
Additional information:
In 2016-17 I trained at the Bristol Acting Academy working out of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. I was taught and practiced acting and stagecraft using the Stanislavski method and also trained in singing, improvisation, dialect and voice including RP, movement and period dance. On the course I played both contemporary and Shakespearean roles including Rudyard Kipling in My Boy Jack and Prospero in the Tempest. In a Showcase to a paying audience I played Scaramouche in scenes from Scaramouche Jones and Gary in The Night Before Christmas. During the time on course I also took the opportunity to be cast in student short films, an independent feature film and take a walk-on part in a Hollywood feature film as well as voicing mythological Greek gods in an animated short film. Since that time, I have taken time off screen/stage to do lots of professional Roleplaying for public and private organisations whilst at the same time produced and taken 2 parts in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, played a 70 year old American in The Cocktail Hour, appeared in a US TV show, a Nokia commercial, Poldark, a rebranding of Funding Circle and attended an Acting Masterclass with Jason Connery at the Bath School of Acting.
