About me
I am a performer, theatre maker and practitioner, now based in London. My work is influenced by the practices of Polish Laboratory theatre, how psychoacoustics can use live and recorded sound in creating narrative, and Georgian polyphonic music in live performance.I trained at Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance (RBC) in European Theatre Arts, with a 3-month exchange, studying Creación (Devised Theatre) at Escuela Superior de Dramático, in Murcia, before continuing to train on the MA Ensemble Theatre course, back at RBC. It was during training in Murcia that I was introduced to the work of Teatr Pieśń Kozła, and continued to train with the company over the coming years.
Additional skills:
Languages: English (Native), Spanish (Proficient). Music: Baritone-Bass, Classical Singing, Choral Singing, Explorative Voice, Alto Saxophone (Beginner), Shruti Box. Devising, Dervish Spinning, Improvisation, Interactive Performance, Immersive Performance, Ensemble Theatre, Physical Theatre, Fencing (Basic), Voiceover, Workshop Facilitator.
Additional information:
I first worked with Hidden Agenda Theatre, both as a performer and workshop facilitator, whilst studying my BA, and since graduating I have produced and performed with Pulse 53 Theatre, and collaborated & devised with Sprindrift Theatre, Finger in the Pie, The Lab Collective, having also performed on Imedi Media’s Good Morning, Georgia, and performing Studying Hamlet with Teatr Pieśń Kozła at The Gdańsk International Shakespeare Festival 2015.
Due to a trauma-accident, I was visually impaired in my left eye at the age of 17, and now I have reduced sight in the left eye, reduced peripheral vision, and lacks depth perception. It was during research for my MA that I became influenced by my own perception of the world and performer training, according to my partial sightedness. I began to develop a practice of performance work that incorporates physically demanding performer training, as a means and introduction to using the voice, focusing on the role of Vibrations, physically, metaphysically and metaphorically.
