About me
Sophie is delightful and charming to be around, with a wonderful sense of humour, fun to work with and totally committed to all the projects she works on. She feels very privileged to do a job she absolutely loves. Her workshop and rehearsed reading experience has proved invaluable, not only in terms of being able to work intelligently with a director and fellow cast members, but more recently, when devising and shooting a short film, commercial or play in a very limited time frame.
She has successfully coached authors reading their own works to a live audience on the back of her experience with Liars League and mentored younger performers wishing to make acting a career.
Additional skills:
Sophie has voiced several audio books and radio plays.
She is an experienced role player.
She has successfully produced two stage productions on the London fringe (at the White Bear Theatre)
She also trained Milliner and has provided hats and assisted making costumes for tours and plays.
Sophie has also cooked professionally, has run lectures and events for one of the Royal Societies (as well as looking after the Grade II listed building) and done some events consultancy work.
Industry awards:
'An Absence Of....' won the 2019 Kenneth Branagh Award for New Writing
Besties in Lockdown, part of 'Love Screens' was a contender for a 2020 'On-Comm' Award
The Paradox Series received a commendation in the Raindance Film Festival 2015
