About me
Born in Italy, Yasemin joined her local theatre company at the age of fourteen, with whom she toured the north of Italy. She moved to the London in 2014 to further her acting training and was involved in several productions and festivals including the Camden Fringe Festival and the International Youth Arts Festival. In 2016 she co-founded her own theatre and arts company, Performing Change, to raise awareness on human rights issues through entertainment, and took on the role of writer, director, producer and actress. The company won Amnesty International's 2016 Marsh award and toured three festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017. In 2017 Yasemin also graduated from Kingston University with a BA in Drama and Human Rights and was awarded The Human Rights prize for her humanitarian work in theatre.
In 2019 she completed a two year course at RAaW Theatre and Film School and was involved in a number of the school's projects, including working as a set designer for the graduate final showcase The Chaos Theory at The Vaults.
This same year, Yasemin joined The Impi Theatre Company as a co-producer and successfully produced two sell-out performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019.
