    Reviews:

Luke Lane’s performance is particularly brilliant, [he] nails it as the bizarre, suave, Faustian Quentin.'

'Lane makes a striking leading man. He delivers Henry Carpenter's book, music and lyrics with panache and expertly toys with the audience'

    oughttobeclowns.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/review-quentin-dentin-show-above-arts.html?m=1

Everyone plays their part with brio, but the star, of course, is Luke Lane as Quentin himself. Like the demented lovechild of John Barrowman and Frank-N- Furter, he beguiles, menaces and befuddles the hapless couple until they no longer know which way is up. Fizzing with energy and a slightly inhuman, evangelical singlemindedness, he beams, shrieks, pouts, flounces and seduces his way in their (and our) hearts. Writer Henry Carpenter, who originally played the role, must be delighted that his spawn is in such good hands.

The star is undoubtedly Luke Lane's Quentin: some unholy fusion of Thin White Duke era Bowie and Dr. Frank-N-Furter. He stalks the stage with a demented grimace carved on his face and some crazy electricity coursing through his veins. Lane really pushes the boat out with this performance: everything from his comic timing to his body language to his audience interaction down to the way he wears a damn suit is top notch. Special praise must go to a later scene when he's losing it: his eye manically twitches and his lip jerks, making him look like a sweatily malfunctioning Terminator.

    'Lane has a great voice'

    musicaltheatrereview.com/30169-2

'These virtues would remain virtual without a commanding central performance, and this is delivered with panache by Luke Lane [...] With debonair good looks and a fine, pleasing, varied voice he is fully up to the demands of the role and dominates proceedings. An impressive compere from the outset, his mounting panic [...] adds further layers of comic pleasure on top of his basic character. Lane is a natural performer for musical theatre and we should expect to see more of him in this genre.'

    livetheatreuk.co.uk/2016/05/18/the-quentin-dentin-show/

Luke Lane’s performance as titular Quentin is just astonishing. Everything that Lane does is with an intense showmanship that is as electrifying as it is terrifying. Lane is a flashy gargoyle of momentous glamour and caprice: a charismatic and domineering emcee. Lane is one of the most insane villains on the stage, but is also constantly the epicentre of a zealous fission that pushes the rest of the cast and The Quentin Dentin Show to bonkers new heights. An explosive performance that gnashes at the edges of sanity and brilliance.
