    About me

    Melanie Lam is of Chinese East Asian heritage and speaks French, Creole and English. She knows some basic Chinese Mandarin. She plays the keyboard, pianoforte and sings as part of an ensemble.

    Melanie Lam has acted on stage in Comedy Drama plays, and performed as a Dancer and Singer in musical theatre, dance shows and choirs.

    Her Theatre credits include Young Vic Theatre, Phoenix Arts Club, Theatro Technis and Network Theatre.

    She is currently training at Caspa Arts on the Acting For New Writing course, and performed at their showcase 'The Scratch 5.0' at Phoenix Arts Club, in February 2020.

    Melanie Lam has recently been selected as the Quarantine Players, to perform Shakespeare Solos, from the speech of As You Like It. This project was a collaboration of Shakespeare's Globe and The Guardian, to celebrate the 456th birthday of the Bard on 23 April 2020.

    Acting experience

    Her Theatre credits include Young Vic Theatre, London where in 2018, she performed in 'Twelfth Night' musical theatre as part of the chorus and in 2019, she performed in 'The American Dream 2.0' play.

    She made her acting debut in 2017 in the Shakespeare play of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (Theatro Technis) where she played the character of the fairy Mustardseed. She also performed in the french play 'The Misanthrope', at the Theatro Technis, Camden. Other Theatre credits include acting in the sketch 'Mary Queen of Chops' (Network Theatre) and acting in the play 'Big Tesco' (Phoenix Arts Club).
