About me

Hello, My name is Chris, I am over 25 and have a Full UK manual licence with business insurance on my personal car, I have 3+ years experience of driving Long Wheelbase Vans all over the UK and I'm accustomed to working 12+ hour days at Music Festivals, Arenas, Hyde Park Events, County Showgrounds, Fireworks Displays etc.

On Set Experience
I am currently working as the Location Assistant/DIT on a TV shoot.
My role requires me to:
Organise rushes and ingest data/footage both on location and on the road.
Buy car parts.
Hold the float and keep track of expenses.
Get release forms signed by Contributors.
Ensuring camera and production equipment is stored safely and securely.
Ensuring Covid safety compliance is observed by Crew and Talents.
Provide daily updates on schedule to off site production team.
Feed and water the Crew and Talents at shooting locations.

I have also worked on one feature film during the first half of December 2020 as a Production Assistant. We did 8 night shoots and 2 day shoots at two locations, I was responsible for collecting and delivering cast and crew to production and set, assisting DOP setting up shots, keeping the camera dry in the pouring rain at 0300 (!) keeping batteries charged and ensuring the camera team had everything they needed to work successfully and helping Gaffer, Producers and Director and making sure Covid Compliance was maintained at production base.

I have also accumulated months on set, working and experiencing from the side as a background actor in 1917, the Netflix film Rebecca, The Dig and the yet to be released Cash Truck and Britannia Series 3, the latter of which was shot to current Covid 19 prevention guidelines.

Relevant Event Production Experience
I work for a charity that sees me independently drive to events, festivals, concerts, football and rugby matches, fireworks displays from Trafalgar Square to Scottish forests and everywhere in between, to set up and operate a special facility that allows people with complex and otherwise prohibitive disabilities come to events with their families. I talk to and make arrangements with site organisers to get the best for us a charity and the best for the visitors who will use the facility, then I pack up and clean/clear site as directed by the hirer. They have a strict and comprehensive COVID19 Policy to adhere to while on site.

COVID 19/CORONA VIRUS I am current with the Screen Skills Covid-19 prevention online course and the Safe Sets International Certificate, and spent the months June, July and August 2020 working for Wiltshire Council as a Reablement Support Worker, supporting people after leaving hospital in their homes with medication and regaining personal independence, while operating in mask, goggles, and gloves to ensure no cross contamination or re-infection occurs.
