About me
I am a creative, organized and well-motivated person with strong communication skills. I have good aural & visual judgment with a keen interest in sound and a huge concern for results as I always strive to achieve the best from others and myself. I am also very easy to work with, an extremely enthusiastic fast learner and can work efficiently & effectively without supervision. I am a very hardworking individual with the ability to manage my emotions appropriately within pressurized environments, whilst keeping a smile.I have a (BaHons) degree in Communication, Culture & Media, I currently work at ITV, as a freelance dubbing assistant.
This has allowed me to develop skills in a range of areas including assisting senior mixers in the setup of studios and vo booths, aaf/omf imports and exports, tracklaying, avid satellite setups, session backups as well as mcr operation. I also have experience in session preparation including audio editing and restoration, long form pre & full mixes and short form full mixes, recording vo, adr, foley and ISDN vo.
This has allowed me to develop my knowledge in sound and the whole production process, including studio acoustics, types of microphones and placements, compressors, Protools 10 HDX, mixing consoles (generally using icon 16-24 fader desks) as well as Yamaha and Digico consoles, tapeless formats, Dolby 5.1, LM100 monitoring, QC checks, reporting and fixing, managing several studios and booths, liaising with different departments and managing clients and talent, to not only ensure the smooth running of the facility, but to achieve the maximum desired result of the client. I have developed a good understanding of technical requirements of different broadcasters and can fully adhere to specifications to create TX masters.
