About me
I am a hard-working, conscientious individual with over three years experience of working in the theatre industry as a stage manager.Studying the Theatre and Performance Studies course at Warwick University gave me the chance to learn skills directly related to backstage work, and stage managing various shows through the drama societies there increased my confidence in both leading and being a part of a backstage team.
Since moving to London in 2018 I have stage managed in venues such as the Park Theatre and Upstairs at the Gatehouse, as well as working on the National Theatre's touring production of War Horse as a stage crew member.
The arts have always been a part of my life, and I was involved in acting and performance at school. I'm also a lover of film, with the Oscars nomination announcement and ceremony marked out in my calendar every year!
Additional skills:
- Experience of working as an ASM and on book as a DSM for theatre and studio productions
- QLab literate, both in creating a show file and cueing during a show
- Programming/operating LX on ETC element desk
- Fire Warden trained
- Used to working to a budget and managing expenses throughout the production process
- Knowledgable in creating risk assessments and aware of current Health and Safety procedures
- Experience of working on site-sympathetic and immersive productions
- Competent at score reading
- Computer literate, with extensive knowledge of Mac and G Suite applications
- Quick at picking up and mastering new skills
- Problem-solver under time pressure and quick to take initiative
