About me
I am a committed media 'dual' professional. This means I am both a trained media practitioner, working in the film/broadcast sector, AND also a college lecturer/trainer where bring a creative, blended approach to me teaching.Trained to Masters standard at the Northern Film School (Leeds University) and Polish National Film School in Lodz, I went on to work as an Assistant Director in television drama for the BBC and other broadcasters in London. I later trained in live television and drama continuity before moving to Newcastle where I worked for BBC News, ITV and CBBC Children's Drama (Byker Grove). In recent years, I've worked for BBC Scotland in a variety of roles including Production Manager, Assistant Director and Production Coordinator. Since 2013 as my young family grew, I retrained for part-time archive research, post production coordination, location fixer and rights clearances.
In December 2016, completed a post graduate course as a FE and HE Lecturer at Stirling University where I gained a distinction. I taught on placement for a year at Fife College and I've now been placed on bank staff at West College Scotland.
After a number of years in lecturing, I’ve taken time out to care for two dads and a mum, the last passed away recently.
I’ve retrained right across production roles to freshen up my skill’s.
