About me
An ambitious designer and artist with a wide range of skills and the desire to develop both creatively and professionally. Design and creation has played a central role in my life and I am always seeking new opportunities to put my skills to the test. From concept design to prop making, I am a problem solver with a real passion for taking on challenging tasks and working to strict time and budget constraints. Friendly, personable and not afraid to speak up – I am a young designer seeking to work with other creative people and to forge a career in design.EXPERIENCE
Assistant Art Director – BBC / Maverick TV / Endemol
Jul 13 - Present
Working as a freelance Assistant Art Director on a number television programmes including Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies and Diagnosis: Live from the Clinic and BBC’s Doctors and What Not To Eat. This role puts my skills as a designer and prop maker to the test as I have been tasked with a variety of challenges including the design and creation of a model of the human intestine system with a visual demonstration of its purpose, the sourcing of scientific props and medical equipment, supervising props on set, drawing concept TV sets and creating digital artwork to specification for on screen graphics.
Designer – Made Up ltd
Jul 15
Producing preliminary concept designs for a London based Events Company involved in creating a themed club setting for a large client. My role involved working with Photoshop to create digital concept designs to a brief, exploring a number of different design ideas with the client and head designers and completing designs to strict time constraints.
Artwork Assistant – De Montfort Fine Art
Sept 11 – Apr 12
Working in De Montfort’s busy art gallery and warehouse as an Artwork Assistant. My role here was highly pressurised and required a great amount of care and organisation. Ensuring paintings and models arrived safely into the warehouse and carefully arranging them according to the artists specifications. I learnt a great deal about organisation and working within a team to make sure that both time and quality expectations were met.
