About me
I'm a Costume Trainee in early career stage with an interest for design who just completed a costume course for stage and screen in Edinburgh, holding a Master's degree in fashion marketing with previous experience in hospitality and office work.I'm committed to expand by creative network through independent projects. I worked on set as Costume Assistant on an independent film La Casa Del Padre (2019 ) and short film Like Falling Leaves (2021) in Italy. In Edinburgh, I spent one day shadowing the Principals costume team of The Lost King directed by Steven Frears and was directly hired to help out during the last part of filming as Costume Trainee (Daily). A childhood friend once reminded me that artistic paths are not for the fainthearted. People have described me as ‘thorough and creative’ since young age, but as I grew up in a strictly traditional family in Italy, I kept my my creativity under the radar, in fear of rejection.
A vocational training in Theatre and Costume Design became possible after completing a Master’s degree in Scotland and deciding on a career change. I learned fast the basics of Theatre Design and made the storytelling aspect of Costume the lifeblood of my creativity.
Presently, I'm graduating from a HND in ‘Costume for Stage & Screen’ at Edinburgh College, a full time specialised course of two years duration. I worked hard to shift my career from Marketing and train in costume.
I am eager to fully flourish and use what I have learnt during my life experience as a constant student and hard-working individual, to find a suitable employment as costume trainee in the Screen industries and continue to learn.
