Additional information:
Feb 2012 to Aug 2015: Post Factory Media Group, Mixed production disciplines
A media facilities company, specialising in 4k content and finishing. The group comprises of a post-production house (delivery for broadcast and cinema), camera hire department, a small production company and a studio facility. Initially taken on as an editor for a large ecommerce contract to offline high-end fashion product videos, my skillset and productivity saw my role grow to oversee the day to day management of all these varied areas. I required end to end knowledge of the filming process for different types of production and to manage staff rotas to deliver projects on time. Work was project based and I was the first point of contact for both clients and staff.
Other responsibilities and achievements include:
Online editing – preparing client material for TV broadcast in the UK and abroad. Playing out to tape, and providing QC reports. Overseeing the implementation of new AS11 file delivery procedures at Post Factory.
Cinema deliverables – extensive knowledge of DCP procedures and preparing files to DCI spec for cinema exhibition. Dealing with both independent and studio backed feature films as well as first time shorts for festival exhibition.
Best Practice – I helped streamline workflow and procedures across the different areas of the company.
Production Manager – as manager of the studio facility I have production managed a variety of in-house shoots; coordinating in-house staff, freelancers and liaising direct with clients.
Digital Engagement – tasked with designing and building new websites across the Group, and introducing new marketing strategies through creating and maintaining a social media presence for the company and targeted email campaigns.
Client Management – working with clients as diverse as Burberry and the BBC to small independent filmmakers. Drawing up proposals and quotes for projects across the spectrum of the Post Factory Group's facilities.
Business Development – maintaining client relationships and winning repeat business as well as actively seeking and building new areas of the business. Created new revenue streams in the independent film market and the studio facility.
Jan 2011 – October 2011: Pink Lemon Media Group, Producer/Director A small production company specialising in niche channel programming.
As Director/Producer helped re-brand and re-launch ‘The Caravan Channel’. Researched, organised, filmed and edited all the content for 24 episodes over 10 months. Broadcast on Sky TV and Freesat.
As a team of two devised and launched a new programme called ’Stage Talk’. This included winning sponsorship to produce the show from likely industry supporters, setting up a website, creating and encouraging a social media following, initiating an advertising and publicity campaign, budgeting the project, researching, writing, filming and editing. We produced 6 x 1 hour programmes during May – October 2011, broadcast on Sky TV and Freesat.
