About me
From part of a team responsible for the day to day running of the technical department of the Gala Theatre, including all visiting and in-house productions. Role involves getting in and making the show safe as well as technically excellent and duties inclusive of, but not limited to, Counterweight flying, rigging scenic pieces, lanterns, speakers; plugging up and patching all sound and lighting elements; adapting sets to the theatre space; being responsible for H&S of other workers, performers, public etc. working to show deadlines; live show experience on stage, flys, lighting, sound, pyrotechnics, live flying performers. Ensuring both visiting artists and companies are comfortable and happy within the building. IT element including – but not limited to – rotas and budgeting (Excel); Word and Powerpoint use including projection elements; e-mailing specifications, information (Technical Riders) etc.Additional skills:
Flying, Stage rigging, lighting design, lighting and sound operation, pyrotech, stage management, soldering.
