About me

Based in the South of England, I am a costume designer and associate artist/resident designer of the New Theatre Royal Portsmouth, with 10+ years experience and a busy studio located within the New Theatre Royal.

I manage a team of freelancers, to build for shows from my studio, we are capable to undertake builds for other designers.

If you need wardrobe crew for a show or fashion event, I can provide and lead a crew of costume professionals to the strength of a team of 15 individuals.

Currently designing for various shows Outside of my resident theatre, I have a varied career which includes making tour costumes for popular musicians and collaborating with theatre, dance, entertainment and production companies.

I also take on regular wardrobe supervisor roles within theatre and the fashion industry. Examples of my work to date can be found at www.societybelle.co.uk.

Willing and able to work within a 60 mile radius from Portsmouth for all kinds of costume related work.

Additional information:
My biggest strength is willingness to pull all of my skills into supporting the teams I am working with and bringing everything I can to make the work a success. As such, I have recently undertaken some light media training to gain skills with interviews, as I am often called upon to help promote shows I am involved with on radio, or record project evaluations on film for The Arts Council. I also sometimes help write copy for brochures and marketing materials for shows I am involved with and contribute to education packs. In addition, I am currently working on audience engagement work alongside my costume work, in the hopes of strengthening bonds between my community and the theatre I work at, and understanding our industry inside and out.
