About me

Experienced within the art-department in both feature and short films, as-well as working as a production designer, art director and standby props on many short films, I have acquired the skills necessary to bring the vision of an art department into reality.

With a BA (hons) degree in Film Production, specialising in Production Design I have become dedicated to working in the art department and bringing the vision of a film to an audience.

Collaboration and working with people is key and a skill I have developed through working both as a designer for short films, and as a trainee in feature.

Put simply, I like to tell stories. Through working with an art department and production designer to realise their vision... or through collaborating with directors to design the world for their script.

Additional information:
Each set or location is an extension of the character who inhabits it and this is really important in allowing the audience to connect with the characters and to make them feel some kind of emotion. I love taking a location and putting the life into it. I enjoy set dressing and the balance between the objects and the space. Props are so important in allowing the audience to know the character. I often think of props as being their own character, each object in the set has its own story behind it; why it is there and why that character has it. It's not just finding the prop, it is the history and the story behind it and what it tells us.
